During a match of Spain in the WC2006 a Belgian reporter informed that Xabi Alonso (Liverpool FC) is the son of the former Spanish player Miguel Angel "Perico" Alonso who played for Spain in the WC82. Both played for Real Sociedad San Sebastian. Is this true ?

Yes, also Mikel Alonso is son of Periko Alonso
