About Playerhistory.com was founded by Haakon Winther in 2002, with the intention to create one of the biggest , and most comprehensive online resources on statistics related to soccer. Mission: While other sites focus on up-to-date information about todays' matches and players , our mission is to be the best on historical statistics. Playerhistory.com have now been online since august 2003, and have in that time managed to add tens of thousands of players, and hundreds of thousand of matches with the help of our soccer-statistics fans. We are now one of the biggest soccer-statistic resources on the web, and plan to grow and expand both the amount and quality of the content. In order to take the site a step further, we decided to transform from a free service, to a subscription service in 2005. The income generated from the subscribers is beeing used to cover hardware costs, increase the amount of information, and to develop a better user experience. Through continous feedback from our users we hope that we in 2010/2011 will be able to develope the site to an even better product than we allready have. Staff: Our staff consists of hardcore statistics fans, with a wide expertise in different leagues and countries. Some of them have been doing this for years using pen & paper , and are now doing it the new way ; using the internet |
